Numerous empirical research have found that our thoughts themselves, can become our reality. This stems from the thalamus located in our brains. This muscle picks up messages from our external life and brings the information to our internal mind-space, which we believe interconnects with the body. According to Newberg and Waldman (2012), our imaginations are also connected to the thalamus where this information is stored. The thalamus holds no bias and treats each information the same. Newberg and Waldman likewise shared that “…language-based thoughts shape our consciousness” (p.57). Subsequently, what language will you choose today?
